If there's a more romantic expedition in the annals of human history, I'm yet to discover it. What would previously be a quest of months, if not years - a hazardous engagement involving an ostentatious tall-ship, months of seafaring and bouts of scurvy - is now within reach with a handful of hours aboard American Airlines. After all, isn't it spellbinding that you get to redefine the very laws of physics and time by stepping into a metal bird dubbed with the mundane term of ‘International flights’?

One can imagine ol' Christopher Columbus gnashing his teeth in his watery grave whilst we, the modern voyagers, recline with casual nonchalance in the 'Economy Class' cabin of a colossal man-made condor. Of course, Columbus didn't have the choice of opting for the seating luxury of 'First-Class', nor could he upgrade his sailors to 'Premium Economy'. The pitiful man didn't even have an ‘In-flight services’ and see where it got him. Historical irony at its best, my friends!

We are passengers on the Concorde of Time! Unperturbed by the rough waves of the Atlantic or the intense threat of the Bermuda Triangle, we take the 'Non-Stop' journey. ‘Baggage allowance’ becomes our only fear, a modern-day Hydra that must be battled before the Herculean quest of transatlantic traversal. Three pieces max if you’re lucky, or be willing to part from your hard-earned wealth.

The 'Flight Duration' from London to the enchanting realms of Sarasota is but a blink in the cosmic timeframe. Life’s rich tapestry includes many a 'Layover', ready to test your mettle. But remember, ‘Connecting Flights’ are just but the labyrinth you must navigate to reach your flaming Sarasota Minotaur. It’s your quest. It’s your destiny!

American Airlines, like Charon, is ever ready to ferry us across the Stygian divide. But rest assured, unlike the poor spirits of Hades, you won’t be left ashore should you fail to pay an obol. For the guardians of this metal Pegasus are far kinder and their ‘Flight Cancellation Policy’ much more merciful than their mythical counterparts.

So, strap your Hermes winged sandals, grab your golden fleece, we're off to conquer the realm of Sarasota aboard the noble ship of the American Air!
