Then, there's the beauty of direct flights, eh? With just a single leap, you shall be spirited away from St. Louis straight to Traverse City. No need to endure the thrill of a layover, desperately sprinting the length and breadth of an unfamiliar airport to catch your connecting flight. Who knew that last-minute panic-induced cardio wasn’t everyone’s favourite part of a vacation?

There's also always the option of a nice relaxing red-eye flight if you're a vampiric night owl, or if you're just one of those magical human beings who can actually sleep on a plane. For the rest of us mere mortals, night flights are a perfect opportunity to explore new frontiers in exhaustion.

Well, except for the shrunken head-sized lavatories and the genre-specific movie selection that’s dubious, to say the least. Just imagining the thrill of perusing an in-flight menu is enough to make me giddy with excitement!
